BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

9 Picks ended the week at 6-3, with LSU coming oh so close to the upset we picked over Alabama. The crowd came through and the Tigers played their best game of the year. How about those Jaguars, giving it all they had and just coming up short against Alabama A&M? The Saints started the week on a good note, while not the prettiest football we have seen, it was a victory and the Who Dats have won three of their last four games.

OK, now to this week's action:

#21 Miss. State (7-2) at #7 LSU (7-2)

Can LSU put behind them the bitter taste of their loss to Alabama? Only a minute and some change away from beating the "unbeatable". Can the Tiger fans put behind the loss as well? If so, LSU will come out and dominate a Miss. State team that has loss two in a row (Alabama and Texas A&M). It's up to the Tigers, and there is no way coach Les Miles will not have them ready. Tigers big in this one:

LSU: 30    Miss. State: 17

Alabama State (6-3) at Southern (3-6)

Southern tries to bounce back after a tough loss against Alabama A&M. This weekend Alabama State comes calling and the Hornets are in the middle of the race for a SWAC Championship. The Jaguars will again play hard but come up short:

Alabama State:    28 Southern: 17

Atlanta (8-0) at New Orleans (3-5)

Well how about this. The Atlanta Falcons are undefeated and hoping to make the Saints victim number nine. Joe Vitt looked more comfortable in the game against the Eagles, Mickey Loomis is back in his office and a few things are coming together for the Saints. I'll call this one my "Upset of the Week" as Drew Brees out duels Matt Ryan and the Saints keep their slim playoff hopes alive:

Saints: 34    Falcons: 28

#15 Texas A&M (7-2) at #1 Alabama (9-0)

Can Alabama not only put behind the LSU game, but rebound from it as well? What a physical game it was between the Tide and Tigers and now it's Texas A&M's offense that will test Alabama. Can A&M's offensive line hold up against Alabama's defensive line? Maybe for a half, Bama rolls on:

Alabama: 34    Texas A&M: 20

UL-Lafayette (5-3) at #6 Florida (8-1)

The Ragin' Cajuns are coming off of a big win against UL-Monroe last weekend, but will not enjoy the outcome of this game. Florida too much, early and often:

Florida: 42    UL-Lafayette: 20

#5 Georgia (8-1) at Auburn (2-7)

Auburn fans cannot get through this season quick enough. Changes are coming, but before then, they will get pounded by the Dawgs:

Georgia: 37    Auburn: 13

Missouri (4-5) at Tennessee (4-5)

Missouri travels to Knoxville after a tough loss to Florida and the Tigers are looking for SEC win number two, the Vols are still trying to win their first conference game. The seat is getting hotter for Derek Dooley, but a victory over Mizzou will cool it a little bit:

Tennessee: 27    Missouri: 20

#20 Louisiana Tech (8-1) at Texas State (3-5)

What a season for LA Tech and it won't stop here. Bulldogs big:

Louisiana Tech: 52    Texas State: 18

#2 Kansas State (9-0) at TCU (6-3)

K-State just continues to win and quarterback Collin Klein continues to play like a Heisman winner. It's not the Horned Frogs the Wildcats have to worry about, it's the Ducks from Oregon. Kansas State will take care of business and then wait for the BCS standings:

Kansas State: 40    TCU: 20

LAST WEEK: 6-3 ... SEASON TOTAL: 48-23
