Red Wolves earn fifth seed in SBC Volleyball Tournament

The Sun Belt Conference announced the eight-team volleyball field for this week's Sun Belt Conference Tournament Sunday night, with Arkansas State earning the tournament's fifth seed.

The tournament, which is being hosted by Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky., will get underway Thursday, Nov. 15. ASU will take on the No. 4 seed Arkansas-Little Rock at 7:30 p.m. in the last match of the first day of competition.

ASU has won the tournament on five previous occasions with the last coming in 1999 and will be making its 10th straight appearance in the post season tournament.

ASU and UALR met two times on the year with the road team earning a victory in each match.

With a win, A-State would advance to play the winner of the No. 1 seeded Western Kentucky and No. 8 Florida International matchup in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
