Harding Football places 15 on All-GAC teams

The Great American Conference released its postseason award for football Tuesday and 15 Harding players received All-GAC honors. It is the most Harding football players ever honored with all-conference honors, topping the 14 honored by the NAIA Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference in 1993.

Harding had seven named 1st Team All-GAC, six named 2nd Team All-GAC and two named honorable mention All-GAC.

The Bisons on the 1st Team were sophomore fullback Romo Westbrook, senior quarterback Kelvin Martin (honored in the conference's utility position), senior offensive lineman Austin Smithey, senior defensive end Ty Powell, senior linebacker Aaron Gillaspie, senior cornerback Roderick Cohn, and sophomore kicker John Gay.

Harding players named 2nd Team All-GAC included sophomore wide receiver Donatella Luckett, junior center Dallon Hudson, junior offensive lineman Jeremiah Vivio, senior defensive end Josh Aldridge, senior defensive tackle Matt Buehler, and senior linebacker/rover Jasper Bodiford.

Senior safety Nathan Brinkley and junior punter Nathan Kadlecek both earned honorable mention.
Aldridge and Gillaspie earned their second straight All-GAC honor. Both were 2nd Team All-GAC last season. Cohn and Bodiford were both honorable mention recipients last season.
