RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -
A man shot himself in the foot in Ripley County Tuesday afternoon while working on a gun.
A man arrived to the Ripley County Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right foot.
The man told deputies he was working on a 22 rifle outside his home on County Road U-2.
The rifle had not been firing and he thought he had unloaded the round out of the barrel.
The man pointed the rifle down and pulled the trigger and the round hit him in the right foot.
