IRVING, Texas (DallasCowboys.com) - The Cowboys took the practice field on Wednesday in preparation for their matchup with the Cleveland Browns this Sunday. Here are a few noteworthy observations.
DeMarco Murray did join his teammates on the field with a helmet for stretches and warm ups, but he apparently spent most of practice on the sideline continuing rehab on his injured foot. There's still no specified date on Murray's return, but his presence on the practice field is a promising sign.
The Cowboys added two new players to the practice squad this week. Rookie linebacker Jerry Franklin out of Arkansas was at practice wearing No. 98. Franklin spent time with the Denver Broncos and, most recently, the Carolina Panthers. Rookie defensive end Tevita Finau, a former Utah product, was at practice as well wearing No. 75.
