PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Mission Outreach held their annual food drive at Paragould City Hall on Friday.
They started collecting non perishable food items and cash early Friday morning and collected donations until 7 p.m.
Development Director at Mission Outreach, Jeremy Biggs says Arkansas has the highest rate of food insecurity in the nation.
"We're tied with Mississippi for number one in child hunger and that's something we don't want to be tied for with number one. One in four children in Greene County go to bed hungry every night," said BIggs.
If you don't get the chance to donate today, Biggs says you can stop by Mission Outreach. They're located at 901 East Lake Street in Paragould.
