From Williams Baptist College
The Eagles from Williams Baptist College traveled to Memphis, Tenn., to play the Bucs of Christian Brothers University on Saturday. The Bucs, ranked 16th in the latest NCAA division II poll, ended up beating the Eagles 85-54.
Kyle Harvey led Williams in scoring and rebounds with 17 points and eight boards. Zabian Sanders was the only other Eagle in double figures with 10.
The two squads collected 43 rebounds each in the contest. Williams grabbed a total of 20 offensive rebounds. The Eagles now lead the NAIA in total rebounds per game and offensive rebounds per game. They average 50.5 total and 18.5 offensive boards per contest.
The loss dropped WBC's record to 3-2 overall. Williams will play its' final contest before thanksgiving on Monday night. The game will be against Crowley's Ridge College and will be the second game of a double-header. The first contest will be the Lady Eagles against Philander Smith College at 5:30 p.m. Both games will be played in the Southerland-Mabee Center in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
