MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - Mike Liabo hit 5 of 10 3-point tries and finished with 25 points as sharpshooting Tennessee-Martin defeated NAIA Lyon 92-58 Tuesday night in a nonconference contest.
The Skyhawks (2-3) shot 53.2 percent (33 of 62) from the field, 52.9 percent (9 of 17) from beyond the arc and 85.0 percent (17 of 20) from the free-throw line in the rout.
Justin Childs had 14 points for UT Martin, while Tobias Dowdell and Bobby Jones each pitched in 13 points. Jones knocked down 3 of 4 3-point attempts.
The Skyhawks forced 24 turnovers and held the Scots (2-5) to 32.1 percent (17 of 53) shooting for the game, including 1 of 8 on 3-pointers in the second half.
UT Martin outscored Lyon 46-18 in the paint, and turned in 23 fast-break points and 31 points off turnovers aided by 17 steals.
Kendall Leeks led the Scots with 11 points.
