JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A hunter is in the hospital after authorities say he was shot in the face.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's office, two people were out hunting on County Road 149 in Jackson County when one a .410 shotgun accidentally discharged.

The Sheriff's office says one of the men was shot in the side of the face and neck.  He was taken to a hospital.  His condition is not known at this time.
