JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Three armed men robbed and beat up a woman.
According to Jonesboro Police Officer Logan Hall, he was dispatched to the 2500 block of Fairfield in reference to an armed robbery on November 24th. Stephanie Washington told Hall that she was robbed while she was walking home from the Mall at Turtle Creek on the trail behind School Street.
Washington said she noticed three black males walking along the path. As she approached the end of the path by Mary Jane Drive, Washington told police one of the males punched her in the head, knocking her to the ground. She said the male had on a gray hood with the strings pulled tight, which is why Washington said she couldn't see the male's face.
According to the police report, the two other males began to repeatedly hit her in the face. Washington also told police one of them kicked her in the head. The police report states one of the males had on a black shirt with a blue bandana wrapped around his face. Washington also says the male was holding a dark colored revolver pistol. Hall reports that Washington said couldn't make out what the third suspect looked like.
Washington told the males she didn't have anything, but handed them her cell phone and a cigarette. The police report said that all three males took off running back toward the Nettleton School district.
