Arrest made in Forrest City fatal shooting

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) – A Forrest City man is in jail on murder charges after turning himself over to police Tuesday.

According to the Forrest City Police Department, Terrance Mays, 20, turned himself after police obtained an arrest warrant Monday.  Mays is accused of shooting and killing Dominique Tobar, also a Forrest City resident.

According to police, Tobar was found dead inside of a pickup truck on Park Drive Monday morning.

Mays is currently in the St. Francis County Jail being held on a $750,000 bond.  He is facing charges of capital murder, three counts of attempted capital murder and first degree battery.

He is scheduled to be in court November 28.
