LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A lawsuit filed in Pulaski County claims that Nancy Todd's Poker Palace owes nearly $30,000 to the employment agency that provided signature-gatherers for her failed ballot measure to legalize casinos.

The lawsuit was filed this month by Oklahoma City-based PeopleSource of Arkansas LLC. The suit names Nancy Todd Poker Palace LLC, Nancy Todd's Poker Palace and Entertainment Venues LLC, and Arkansas Counts LLC as defendants.

Todd tells the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that PeopleSource helped her collect signatures on petitions for the proposed constitutional amendment. The Arkansas Supreme Court later said Todd's measure was ineligible for the ballot and no votes were counted.

Todd referred questions on the suit to a Missouri-based investment firm, which did not return calls seeking comment Tuesday and Wednesday. An attorney for PeopleSource declined to comment.
