(RNN) - If you're taking a trip to Asia sometime soon, you might give a flight on Japan Airlines finger lickin' good reviews.

The Tokyo-based airline announced Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement with Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan to serve its signature southern-style fried chicken aboard certain long haul international flights.

Starting on Dec. 1, passengers flying in premium economy and economy classes will be served the meal as part of each flight's scheduled meal service. Routes with Air Kentucky meal service include flights from Tokyo to New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, London, Paris and Frankfurt.

Each meal includes one drumstick, one boneless chicken breast fillet, a cup of coleslaw and lettuce leaves. But if you're looking for KFC's signature biscuits, you'll have to do so on the ground. Air Kentucky meals include a piece of flatbread instead.

Japan Airlines said in a statement that the bread and lettuce give passengers the option to make their own sandwiches.

KFC, considered by many to be an American fast food staple, is also popular in Japan. The Japanese tend to eat more chicken during the holiday season, making KFC a popular choice among consumers in December.

The Japan branch of KFC made headlines earlier this month when it announced it would start selling garlic salt chicken potato chips with the help of a Japanese snack food company. The potato chips include a coupon for KFC ginger salt chicken, which consumers can redeem at any KFC Japan location.

KFC restaurants are part of the Yum! Brands family of restaurants, which also includes Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Wingstreet.

Air Kentucky meals will be available until Feb. 28, 2013 on Japan Airlines.
