Walnut Ridge, Ark. (WBCEagles.com) – The 54th Annual WBC Tournament continued on Thursday, November 29 and saw the final three teams clinch their place in the final four of each bracket. Thursday also saw the Marmaduke girl's clinch a spot in the championship.
The Marmaduke Lady Greyhound's became the first team to clinch a spot in the WBC tournament finals by beating Corning 72-38. They will play the winner of Southside and Pocahontas, which will be played Friday, November 30 at 5 p.m. The girl's championship game will be played Saturday, December 1 at 3 p.m.
The boy's side saw third seeded Viola cruise to a victory over eleventh seeded Maynard, 76-56. In a heated contest between second seeded Hoxie and seventh seeded Marmaduke, the tournament witnessed its' biggest upset this year. Marmaduke won 59-48. They will play viola for a chance to reach the championship on Friday at 6:20 p.m. The winner will play in the finals on Saturday, December 1 at 4:30 p.m.

The WBC Tournament is a high school invitational and runs through Saturday, Dec. 1. All games will be played in WBC's Southerland-Mabee Center.
