One injured in submerged vehicle accident at East Nettleton

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -  One person is taken to hospital with injuries following a one vehicle accident at East Nettleton.  

According to E-911 Director Jeff Presley, the accident happened at the 3300 block of East Nettleton near Sonic around Mathews and Nettleton.

According to police, the vehicle was headed south on Mathews around 6:40am.  Officers say the vehicle had a mechanical issue as it rounded a curve causing the driver to leave the road.  The car then went into the ditch and overturned.

There is no word on the condition of the driver.  The driver's name has not yet been released.
