Westside alum Mollie Arnold named a AVCA Division II Honorable Mention All-American

LEXINGTON, Ky. (HardingSports.com) – Harding junior outside hitter Mollie Arnold was named 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Honorable Mention All-America on Monday.
Arnold is only the second player in Harding history to receive the award. Veronica Piech (2000-03) was honorable mention in 2003.
Arnold led the Great American Conference and ranked 17th in NCAA Division II with 4.07 kills per set. She also averaged 2.93 digs per set. Arnold captured 15 double-doubles this season. She had over 20 kills in a match five times and had over 15 digs five times. Arnold accumulated 476 kills and hit .274.
Arnold led the Lady Bisons to a 28-6 record, and the team won the GAC regular season and went undefeated with a 14-0 conference record. She also led HU to a GAC Tournament Championship.
Arnold's other awards this season include: AVCA Central Region Honorable Mention, GAC Tournament MVP, GAC All-Tournament Team, GAC Player-of-the-Year and 1st Team All-GAC.
