A Batesville man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into computer child pornography.
JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Two men were arrested early Friday morning for an assault and attempted robbery on two people who were leaving the Brickhouse in downtown Jonesboro.
According to the police report, the two men were leaving the bar and were followed by "several black men." The victims say the men followed them to a parking lot. A man with a Chicago Bulls hat then pulled a gun on the victims.
They say the man with the hat ordered them to give him everything they had. The victim says they ran after the gun was pulled on them.
The officer on the scene says the two black men left in a blue Caprice.
Officers pulled over a car that matched that description at the intersection of Union andBurke.
The officers searched the car and found a silver .45 caliber gun under the back seat and saw numerous electronics in the trunk. When asked about them one of the men stated he had bought it all "off of crack heads."
The two men, Averin Huggins and Curtis Nigel Hayes, were later identified by the victims from the Brickhouse and taken into police custody.
Police also found marijuana and a bottle of permethazone.
They face several charges including aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.
