AUBURN, AL (AL.com) Kodi Burns, one of the most popular Auburn players in recent memory and the player chosen to present an Auburn jersey to Barack Obama at the White House, is returning to the Tigers as a graduate assistant coach.
"It is true! I am coming back home," Burns tweeted Friday.
Burns was a graduate assistant at Arkansas State in 2012, and will follow new head coach Gus Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee from Jonesboro to Auburn. Burns had joined Malzahn at Arkansas State before the 2012 season.
