PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation and Women's Council held its second annual Holiday Tour of Homes and Chateau on the Ridge Holiday Open House Sunday afternoon.
Mark Foster, Tim and Sue McGowan, Matt and Chandra McGowan and David and Janie Stone opened their homes in the Club View Estates Subdivision in Paragould to the public from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A complimentary shuttle transported those who participated in the tour. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event for the tour that began at the Paragould Country Club.
AMMC Director of Marketing and Public Relations Shay Willis said the proceeds from the Holiday Tour of Homes will help to establish the Dr. Tory Stallcup Memorial Scholarship Fund.
"Earlier this year Arkansas Methodist unfortunately lost a very young physician, very unexpectedly. So, this scholarship fund is his memory," Willis said. "We're very excited that the proceeds from today's event are going to go ahead and get that established."
The scholarships will be given to medical school students who commit to practicing at AMMC, with preference given to students who are natives of Paragould and surrounding communities.
Chateau on the Ridge Assisted Living Retirement Community in Paragould hosted the Holiday Open House from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
