USA Nation’s Capital Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon & ½ registration now open.

Registration is now open for the USA Nation’s Capital Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon & ½. There are a very limited number of race bibs available for this event and early registration is required. Hope For The Warriors® (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org) is a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen.

Community members can register for races by committing to raise funds for Hope For The Warriors®. Team Hope For The Warriors® provides each Team member a fundraising page that can be personalized and the ability to contact friends and family through e-mail campaigns. Many of the races on this list sell out; Team Hope For The Warriors® provides athletes another avenue to participate while making their race more meaningful. Fundraising requirements vary by race.

“Many of our Team members first join because our charity bib allowed them to register for a sold out race,” Jenlene Nowak, Team Hope For The Warriors® Director said. “Once they join, many stay on the Team because they love the camaraderie and because they are equally committed to supporting military families. “

Team Hope For The Warriors® provides athletes of all abilities the opportunity to engage the competitive spirit at endurance events. Warrior Team members are provided adaptive equipment and race support to ensure that they are defined by their achievements rather than by their injuries. Community Team members challenge themselves to raise funds for America’s heroes, set new athletic goals, or simply support our military. Together, these Team members are united by the goal to improve the rehabilitation of combat wounded service members and military families.

The mission of Hope For The Warriors® is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.
