JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A bust in rural Craighead County leads to the arrest of three people.

Deputies with the Craighead County Sheriff's Department Criminal Division recovered a number of stolen items, meth lab components and meth oil Thursday afternoon.  The items were recovered from 442 County Road 703 during the execution of a search warrant.

Glen Blalock, Cody Simmons and Tara Wittig were arrested in connection with the bust.

Simmons is being charged with attempt to manufacture meth, commercial burglary and contempt of court.  Blalock is being charged with felony theft by receiving.   Wittig also faces attempt to manufacture meth, and felony theft by receiving charges.

According to Justin Rolland with the CCSO, the investigation into rural burglaries has been going on for about a month.

"We've seen an increase in the burglaries in the 700 series county roads.  We started concentrating our efforts in those areas, did develop a suspect, which lead us here to this residence today," said Rolland Thursday.

Blalock, Simmons and Wittig will appear in court Friday for a probable cause hearing.
