Jonesboro group collecting teddy bears for CT school students

JONESBORO (KAIT) - The best friend of one of the Westside tragedy victims and her mother are leading the charge to collect teddy bears for students of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.  

Meagan Cremeens and Pam Herring hope to collect enough stuffed bears and money to send them to Newtown, CT to comfort the children there.  The group hopes to start collecting teddy bears this weekend. 

Cremeens was a student in the Westside Middle School when the shooting happened. Four students and a teacher lost their lives during the Westside Middle School shooting on March 24, 1998, when two young boys opened fire on their classmates.
