SEARCY, AR (KAIT) - Searcy Police arrested a man they say stabbed a woman Tuesday afternoon, trying to protect her 12-year-old daughter from being raped.
According to Searcy Police Department, 29-year-old Aaron Ray Rash was arrested around 4pm Wednesday in an area south of Booth Road in Searcy.
A 9-1-1 call of a suspicious man in the area led to his arrest. Police say he was taken into custody without incident.
Rash is also a Level-3 Sex Offender, and is being charged with Rape, and battery in the first degree.
According to a news release from the Searcy Police Department, Rash stabbed the mother "multiple times."
He then raped the girl before running away.
The mother and daughter went to a neighbor's house to call 911.
Three more employees of the truck stop chain owned by the Cleveland Browns' owner and Tennessee's governor have pleaded guilty in what authorities call a scheme to cheat trucking firms out of rebates.
