One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.

GRUBBS, AR (KAIT) – The Jackson County Sheriff's arrested a Grubbs man after he barricaded himself inside a home and allegedly threatened several children with a sawed-off shotgun.
They were called out to the intersection of Barnwell and Garden street in Grubbs after Buddy Teague, 49, had locked himself inside the some.
Sheriff David Lucas said his deputies used gas to finally get Teague out of the home after several failed attempts to communicate with him.
"There were no injuries, no other incidents. Now, my criminal investigation team is processing the scene, and they'll be interviewing him later on at the office, the sheriff's office." Sheriff Lucas said.
Sheriff Lucas says he will contact the prosecuting attorney's office on Thursday. He says they will then figure out if Teague may face any charges regarding this incident.
East Tennessee Children's Hospital has treated so many babies born dependent on prescription drugs that the facility is now helping other medical centers around the country deal with the crisis.
