GRUBBS, AR (KAIT) – The Jackson County Sheriff's arrested a Grubbs man after he barricaded himself inside a home and allegedly threatened several children with a sawed-off shotgun.

They were called out to the intersection of Barnwell and Garden street in Grubbs after Buddy Teague, 49, had locked himself inside the some.

Sheriff David Lucas said his deputies used gas to finally get Teague out of the home after several failed attempts to communicate with him.

"There were no injuries, no other incidents. Now, my criminal investigation team is processing the scene, and they'll be interviewing him later on at the office, the sheriff's office." Sheriff Lucas said.

Sheriff Lucas says he will contact the prosecuting attorney's office on Thursday. He says they will then figure out if Teague may face any charges regarding this incident.
