POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) –A man is dead after he was hit by a truck on Highway 62 in Randolph County

Around 11am Thursday, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department and Arkansas State Police were called to the scene of an accident involving a pickup truck.

According to Arkansas State Police, 78-year-old Lester Brown of Pocahontas was walking north across Highway 62 while a woman driving a truck struck him.

The road was closed for over an hour and Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
