Some local drivers have feared that a bridge collapse like the one in Washington State this week could happen closer to home. People have been particularly fearful of the aging Black River Bridge that connects Black Rock and Portia on U.S. 63 in Lawrence County.
DUNKLIN
COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - A Nashville man dies by natural causes while he was hunting
in Dunklin County.
According
to the Dunklin County Sheriff's office, James S. Thompson went duck hunting
early Friday morning with two friends when he just became unresponsive.
When
deputies arrived at the scene they provided the CPR duties while medics were on
their way. Thompson was then taken to a Medical Center in Kennett, Missouri.
He
was there pronounced dead by the Dunklin County Coroner.
