LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas' state treasurer has resigned after federal prosecutors accused her of taking cash payments from a broker who handled a large amount of the state's investment portfolio.

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Some people in Region 8 are dreaming of a white Christmas but a chance of snow could mean holiday travelers will need to change their plans.

"We're planning on leaving before the snow comes in and will not return until after its cleared out," said Mike Webb.

The Webb family plans on traveling to see both families to avoid heading back with snow on the ground.

"We're planning on going to Alabama to visit my wife's folks and then leave from there and go to Tennessee where my family lives for a couple of days," said Webb.

For others, a little snow won't break a Christmas tradition. Holiday traveler Sam Barre and his family are headed to his grandparents', where he has always spent the holiday.

"Its tradition every year that I go to my grandparents' house in Pocahontas," said Barre

The chance of snow may have changed some people's plans but for the most part, many are headed home for the holidays.
