JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - As the end of 2012 nears and people prep to ring in the new year, so does one Region 8 cab driver.

Just in case you tip back a few too many drinks on New Year's Eve, Justin Case with Arkansas Cab & Courier will be ready to get party-goers home safely.

"It's gonna be a long one," Case told Region 8 News. "From 12 on, it's just gonna be non-stop."

Case said he'll pick up people as long as the phone calls come in.

Reporter: "So it could be 6 in the morning?"
Case: "Oh, at least. It's usually at least four...or five... Four in the morning."

According to Mothers against Drunk Driving, nearly 10,000 people are killed in drunk driving crashes each year. MADD states that New Year's Day is the most dangerous day of the year for drunk driving on the nation's roadways.

They advise celebrators to either designate a sober driver, consider using a shuttle service or arrange a hotel stay. They also say saving the number of local cab companies in your phone before you head out is a good idea.

"I'll be taking care of business as best as I can and as efficiently as I can. Work with me and we'll get along fine," Case said.

Case advised those who will be using his cab to call ahead of time and be ready when he gets there.

"Call half-hour, 45 minutes before they're ready," Case said. "You can't be right around the corner all the time so advanced notice is always good."
