Harding's Roddenberry receives third GAC Player of the Week honor

Ouachita Baptist's Monica Williams and Harding's Zach Roddenberry received the Great American Conference's Women's and Men's Basketball Players of the Week honors for their performances in the eighth week of the 2012-13 regular season.

GAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK –Monica Williams, Ouachita Baptist, F/C, Sr., Horn Lake, Miss.

Williams secured her second GAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor in the last four weeks as she led the Lady Tigers to their eighth straight victory. She registered her third double-double of the season with a team-high 23 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. She added three blocks and three steals in the 75-72 victory. She ranks in the top five in the GAC in scoring, rebounding and in blocked shots.

GAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Zach Roddenberry, Harding, F, Sr., Conyers, Ga.

Roddenberry notched his third GAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award of the season as he paced the Bisons to their second victory this season against Christian Brothers. He scored a game-high 21 points on 8-for-10 shooting in the 66-48 victory on Sunday. He added nine rebounds. In two wins against the Bucs, he averaged 20.0 points and 11.0 rebounds on 13-for-19 from the floor.
