JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Two women are arrested after a traffic stop revealed they had drugs with them.

According to Jonesboro Police, they initiated a traffic stop at a restaurant's parking lot after one of the officers recognized one of the women in the car.

They say they recognized 40-year-old Michelle Lynn Harrison of Jonesboro for having multiple warrants out of the city. After running her name through dispatch they confirmed that she did have ten warrants through Jonesboro and was also driving through a suspended license. She was then placed in the back of the police car.

The second officer questioned the passenger and was told that there was nothing illegal in the vehicle. He asked if he could search the car and they said, "Go ahead".

During the search the second officer came upon a glass pipe with burn residue on it. The officer said that the pipe is something consistent that he has seen with smoking methamphetamine.

After finding this, the officer continued to question the passenger and she pulled out what police say about 1.25 grams of marijuana from inside her shirt. She was arrested after that.

Harrison was arrested for driving with a suspended license, not paying her fines, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is set to appear in court on February 28th.

Anthony was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and was given a surety bond of $770. She is set to appear in court on Monday January 7th.
