MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Craighead County man is dead following a two vehicle crash in Mississippi County.

According Arkansas State Police, the crash happened on Interstate 55 near mile marker 67 in Mississippi County around 11:15 Friday night.  Police say Daphne Tate of Bono was traveling southbound when he went into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle head-on.

The crash report indicates Tate was not wearing a seat belt.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Charles Davis of Baytown, TX was taken to a Memphis hospital for his injuries.  Police do not know if Davis was wearing a seat belt.
