JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police say a fifth suspect has been arrested in the violent beating and kidnapping that left a man in the hospital in early January.
Julius Henry was arrested by Jonesboro police officers, including the Prowl Unit Thursday night.
Henry along with Keith Eugene Hill, Timothy Peel, Archie Henry and Robert Lee Buckingham have been arrested by police.
Jonesboro police say six men kidnapped, robbed, violently beat a man and then tossed him out of a car in a vacant lot in North Jonesboro on January 7.
Police say on that night, officers were called to a set of apartments on South Patrick Street in response to a man on someone's porch screaming.
JPD Sgt. Lyle Waterworth says officers found the victim Rodrigues Jones bleeding from his face and hands. Sgt. Waterworth says it appeared the Jones had been bound with duct tape.
Jones was able to tell police that Timothy Peel and five other men, kidnapped, robbed, beat him and then threw him from a moving car. Police say Jones' pants were cut; he was missing a shoe, had a swollen face, and had blood coming from his mouth and nose.
Police went to Peel's apartment at East Oak Street #11, where Peel was arrested along with another man.
Police say they found a pair of brown and black boots in Peel's closet that appeared to have blood on the toe of one of the boots.
According to Jonesboro Police, another suspect, Archie Henry, turned himself over to police on January 10. Keith Eugene Hill, 35, was also arrested in January after turning himself over to authorities.
All six men are being charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and theft greater than $1,000, but less than $5,000.
Robert Lee Buckingham had just posted bond for his arrest on January 14th for the alleged kidnapping until he was arrested again on January 23 after allegedly trying to steal a car.
Police still have warrants issued for Cortez Walton. Police say if you see him contact CrimeStoppers at 935-STOP.
