One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.

Region 8 News investigates the crime numbers for the city of Jonesboro. From January to April of 2013, Jonesboro Police dealt with 17 aggravated robberies in the city.
JACKSON COUNTY, AR (KAIT)- The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has been getting various reports of a phone scam in Region 8.
The scam involves the numbers (876) 293-1361 and (876) 892-8941 from Kingston, Jamaica.
The caller asks for personal information and even threatens and harasses the recipient. The Sheriff's Office says it is a scam to not answer calls from the numbers listed. Officials also say it's similar to a reverse 900 number.
The U.S. Marshal Service, Secret Service, and the FBI have also been contacted due the dangerous threats made.
The Jackson County Sheriff, David Lucas, says if you have been called by one of these numbers or a number similar, to contact your phone provider to see if you have been billed any additional charges that you may not usually get on a statement.
