From Arkansas State University
Two members of the Arkansas State bowling team experienced success in the Team
USA Trials held in Henderson, Nev., Jan. 3-7.
Sophomore Sarah Lokker
finished fourth with 75 ranking points and a 6,279 total pinfall. Junior Ashley
Rucker finished with 144 ranking points and a 5,944 total pinfall. Rucker was
able to qualify for Junior Team USA and joins Lokker on the team. Lokker
qualified for the team last summer.
Lokker and Rucker have both played
key roles in leading the Red Wolves to a 24-13 mark on the season and No. 7
ranking in the latest NTCA poll. Lokker has been named to the all-tournament
team on two separate occasions this year. Rucker earned a spot on one
all-tournament team and narrowly missed another so far this season.
The
A-State bowling team is back in action Jan. 11-13 when they host the Mid-Winter
Invitational in Jonesboro.
