White Co. man dead as a result of icy road conditions

BALD KNOB, AR (KAIT) – A Bald Knob man is dead after police say he was hit by another driver while standing outside his car.

According to Arkansas State Police, Delbert Brooks of Bald Knob died after being hit on U.S. 67 near mile marker 53, Tuesday just before 5:30p.  Police say Brooks was outside of his vehicle which was parked on the southbound shoulder along with another car.

Police then say an SUV traveling north on the same highway lost control, crossed the median and hit Brooks as well as the two vehicles on the shoulder.

No other injuries were reported. 

The crash report indicates the road conditions were slick and icy at the time of the crash.
