A Southeast Missouri woman wrapped up a big week by taking home a piece of the record $600 million Powerball jackpot.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR
(KAIT) – A Jonesboro man is in jail after officers find a large amount of meth
during a traffic stop.
According to
Ravenden Police Chief Timothy McComas, Michael Oneal of Jonesboro was arrested
on January 11. McComas states the police
department received a tip from the 3rd Judicial District Drug Task Force that Oneal was traveling through the area
and possibly had a large amount of drugs.
Oneal was also
wanted by authorities in Lawrence County.
An officer with the
Ravenden Police Department pulled over Oneal
after seeing him traveling south on U.S. Highway 63. Police
say Oneal was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
A police department
canine was brought in to search the vehicle.
According to Chief McComas, a large amount of methamphetamine was
discovered inside the vehicle.
Oneal has been charged with possession of methamphetamine
with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on suspended
driver's license and failure to appear warrants.
Bond
for Oneal was set at $25,000 and he remains in the Lawrence County Jail at this time.
