JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) — As part of the organizational restructuring of the Red Wolves Foundation, Arkansas State Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir is also putting an emphasis on enhancing corporate partnerships and announced Thursday that Doug Doggett has moved into a new position as Associate Athletics Director for Corporate Sales.
Doggett has been closely involved with corporate sales for ASU since 2007, previously serving as Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and Director of both the formerly-named Indian Club and Red Wolf Club. Corporate support has seen modest increases throughout the last few years, but has been identified as an area with the potential for significant growth.
"I'm extremely proud of the progress we've made in several of the external areas," said Doggett. "But with so many responsibilities under the external relations umbrella and the demand to generate new revenue, I am confident spreading out some of those duties will help us grow in all areas."
Doggett came to ASU after serving as Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at St. Bernards Healthcare. Before working at St. Bernards, Doggett was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Regions Bank in Jonesboro. A familiar face in Northeast Arkansas, Doggett also served as News/Weather anchor at KAIT for eight years prior to his time at Regions Bank.
A native of White Hall, Doggett earned his Bachelor of Communications degree from Arkansas State in 1992.
"Doug has a history of experience with our corporate sales area, and he is very familiar with our region and the state of Arkansas," said Mohajir. "His new focus in the corporate sales area will help streamline roles to generate new revenue."
