JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The first of several events in Region 8 to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King kicked off at City Youth Ministries Sunday night.
The "Youth Explosion", organized by the MLK Jr. Day Parade Committee, was an opportunity to for young people to celebrate Dr. King through song, dance, and monologue.

Monday, Jan. 21: Dr. MLK Junior Parade and Service, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Service and refreshments will follow the parade in the Village Mall
Monday, Jan. 21: Northeast Arkansas MLK Celebration, 12 p.m. at Centennial Hall in the ASU Student Union
Monday, Jan. 21: Parkin Archeological State Park, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Day 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 23: Performance by the Dallas Black Theater, 7 p.m., at the Centennial Hall in the ASU student Union
