Pleasant temps return to central North Carolina

Unseasonably cool air has moved into North Carolina, and below normal temperatures will stay with us through the next week.

With high pressure bringing in a light northerly flow, today will be filled with mostly to partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures.  Highs today will be in the lower to middle 80s.  It will be very comfortable with low humidity.  Our normal high this time of year is near 90.

Tonight will be pleasant with overnight lows dropping into the lower 60s, areas north of the Triangle will make it into the 50s overnight.  The normal low this time of year is around 70.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with low humidity continuing.  The high will be in the middle 80s.  It will be a littler warmer and a little more humid; but still below normal and comfortable on Thursday, with a high of 87 under mostly to partly sunny skies.

Friday will have a mix of clouds and some sun with just a slight risk of a shower or storm.  The highs will stay in check with the clouds around; the high should be in the lower to middle 80s.  It looks like the weekend will be more unsettled with scattered showers and storms possible, mainly in the afternoon hours.  Temperatures will still be cooler than normal too, topping out in the mid 80s.
