A pleasant end to the week before the heat returns this weekend

Behind Thursday's storms, we'll see pleasant weather to end the work week but, don't expect these conditions to last long as the 90s could return as early as Saturday.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with a late day shower possible, mainly south of the Triangle.  Temperatures won't be as hot either, staying in the upper 80s in Raleigh and approaching 90 across the Sandhills.

Tonight skies will gradually clear which will allow for more comfortable conditions as temperatures fall into the upper 60s.

The weekend is looking dry but, hot as the low 90s return with partly cloudy skies Saturday.  By Sunday, temperatures will approach the mid and upper 90s and most will see just a few clouds.

Another cold front is lined up to move through next Monday which will bring the chance for scattered showers and storms back to the area.  Behind this front, pleasant temperatures and lower humidity will return Tuesday and could linger through the majority of the work week.
