The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced a number of exciting and special in-game promotions and recognitions for Saturday's men's and women's basketball doubleheader with Florida Atlantic at the Convocation Center, which is set to begin with the women's contest at 5:06 p.m.
The games have been designated as "Scout and Heroes Appreciation Day" with any scout, fire, police, military or medical personnel in uniform receiving free admission to both games. Their guests will receive a ticket for the group rate of $4 per ticket. Saturday is also "Youth Appreciation Day" with any youth 12 and under receiving free admission to the games and their guests receiving a ticket at the group rate.
Additionally, a ticket purchased for either the men's or women's game will grant admission to both games of the double header.
Due to the doubleheader, fans are also asked to be aware of adjusted parking procedures for the games. The Convocation Center parking lots B through H will be reserved for those fans holding a men's basketball parking pass, and the ASU Athletics Department will be providing a shuttle service prior to and after the women's game to escort those parking in the Tomlinson Stadium lot back and forth from the Convocation Center. The shuttle service will begin at 4 p.m. and end one hour after the conclusion of the women's game.
The ASU football team will be recognized at halftime of the men's game, which is set to tip at 7:30 p.m. The Sun Belt Conference football championship trophy and the GoDaddy.com Bowl trophy will also be on display on the upper concourse near the red entrance.
Saturday's games will also be televised by the Sun Belt Network through its partnership with Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). Lyn Rollins and Debbie Leonard will call the women's game, while Tom Dore and Bob Donewald will call the men's game.
