Tyler teenager killed in Highway 155 wreck

DPS officials tell KLTV 7 that one person was killed in a crash on Thursday evening in Smith County.

It happened just before 6PM on Highway 155 North in Smith County.

DPS trooper Jean Dark tells KLTV 7 that Caleb Cecil Luther Daniels, 17, of Tyler, was heading south on 155. He drove into oncoming traffic, and hit another driver head-on. Luther died at the scene of the crash.

Another car traveling north on 155 rear-ended the first car. The drivers of both of those cars were taken to Tyler with non life-threatening injuries.
