LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – Two Texas men are in jail after Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies find meth during a traffic stop.
The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says 47 year-old Hershel Hawkins, of Horseshoe Bay, TX, 62 year old Bobby Nichols, of Austin, TX were pulled over for a tint violation near Hoxie.
The deputy says he noticed the men were acting nervous and shaking while he spoke with them.
According to a news release, the deputies searched the vehicle and found several bags of meth ice weighing around 117 grams and a glass pipe with meth ice in it.
After arresting the two, Hawkins told the deputy he had meth ice in his shorts. 10 more grams of meth ice was discovered on the man after deputies searched him.
They've been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both in the Lawrence County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
