CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - A 70-year-old woman and her son are both going to prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine.

Ella Sumlin of Sikeston was sentenced yesterday to five years in federal prison.  Her son, 33-year-old Elliot Sumlin, was sentenced to more than eleven years in prison.

U.S. Attorney James Martin says the Sumlins and others traveled from Sikeston to Kansas City, Missouri, to obtain cocaine and took it back to Sikeston, converting it to crack cocaine.

The crack cocaine was distributed in the Sikeston area of southeast Missouri.
