Police say drug possession puts four Cleburne County people behind bars.
POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) – One man is dead and two others injured following a two vehicle crash just north of Poplar Bluff.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involving a SUV and a car happened at 6:00p Tuesday on U.S. 67. Troopers say Danny R. Ward, 60, of Poplar Bluff was killed.
Highway patrol indicates the SUV was headed north when it lost control, crossed the median, began to overturn and hit Ward's car in the southbound lane.
The driver and passenger in the SUV received moderate injuries and were taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
Ward was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash report indicates Ward was not wearing a seat belt, but the other two people involved were.
