LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - State Human Services officials say the release of a legislative review of Arkansas' Medicaid program is being delayed as they discuss concerns about the report with auditors.

A DHS spokeswoman said Friday that the audit of Medicaid would likely be released next week at the earliest. The report had been expected to be released to lawmakers on Friday.

The head of the Division of Legislative Audit did not immediately return a call Friday.

DHS officials this week called the audit's release premature and questioned some of its methodology. The audit's delay comes as lawmakers are weighing whether to expand Medicaid's eligibility under the federal health care law.

DHS spokeswoman Amy Webb said the department has had "productive" discussions with auditors about their concerns.
