HEBER SPRINGS, AR (KAIT)- Three people have been arrested on drug charges after a search on a home in Heber Springs revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies from the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, along with officers from the Heber Springs Police Department and the Arkansas State Police searched a home at 409 Case Street in Heber Springs. Lucian Piazza, 21, Stacy Absher, 41, Daniel Habour, 45, all of Heber Springs, were taken into custody and are now being held at the Cleburne County Detention Center.
Charges filed against the three suspects include possession with intent to deliver (meth and marijuana), felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug premise near a school. Bond for each was set at $30,000.
Arkansas' state treasurer is being accused of repeatedly taking cash payments, sometimes in a pie box, from a broker who saw his share of business with the state increase in recent years.
A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee barely missed winning a share of an estimated $590.5 million prize. But the ticket has a nice consolation prize worth $1 million.
