FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas coach Bret Bielema is looking for nothing short of a foundation of success in his first recruiting class on Wednesday.
That foundation starts inside Arkansas for the former Wisconsin coach, who was hired Dec. 4 and has traveled across the country to find players to compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Bielema's whirlwind recruiting efforts will come to a close Wednesday when Arkansas joins the rest of college football in welcoming the next wave of players on national signing day.
The Razorbacks are expected to sign a host of top in-state prospects, such as three players - quarterback Austin Allen, linebacker Brooks Ellis and safety Alex Brignoni - from nearby Fayetteville High School. They also received a boost with a verbal commitment Monday from Florida running back Alex Collins.
