GREERS FERRY, AR (KAIT)- A woman is recovering at home after being shot in the face near Greers Ferry.

On January 25, Cleburne Co. Deputies and Greers Ferry PD officers responded to Creekside Dr. on word of shots fired.

The shooting victim was flown to a hospital in Little Rock, where she was treated for a gunshot wound to the face. The injury was not life threatening and the victim has since returned home.

Mark Kantz, 48, has been charged with first degree battery and is currently being held in the Cleburne Co. Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
