Forrest City "prowler" arrested after running away from cops

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT)- Forrest City Police arrested a man after he was reported "prowling the backyards of residences," and then tried running from authorities.

Ricky Walker, 40, was found by police at the intersection of Cherry and Graham Streets with a large folding knife in his back pocket.

Walker was taken into custody but when officers tried to put him in a patrol car, Walker ran away before falling in the road. Walker then became violent, striking the officers several times. The suspect was eventually taken to FCPD where a crack pipe was found in Walker's hat lining.

Ricky Walker is now being charged with carrying a weapon, fleeing, resisting arrest, battery in the second degree against officers, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
