Forrest City, AR (KAIT) - Forrest City will have some Southeastern Conference representation for the 2nd time in 3 years.
Mustang Defensive End Tevin Beanum will be heading to the hill in the fall after inking to play football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. In 2011, Forrest City Wide Receiver Davyon McKinney signed with Arkansas and is still a member of the team as a DB.
Beanum said on Wednesday that he will play defensive end at Arkansas. "It really the culmination of it all," said Beanum, "I've been working a long time towards this."
He was a 2012 KAIT Football Friday Night Superteamer and helped the Forrest City Mustangs return to relevancy after struggling the past two seasons.
Beanum is one of two players from Region 8 to sign with Arkansas this signing season, the other being Korliss Marshall from Osceola.
